The work
What an exterior detail actually covers.
1–3 hours for most cars. Size, how many of us are on the job and how much buildup there is move it within that window.
Same angle, one visit
Wheels, soft tops, and a kei truck.
A new RS6 wheel, a convertible top in Glen Park, a Lexus hood in the Richmond, and a Honda Acty whose faded trim came back black.
Convertibles are the same price as any car their size; fabric tops get a fabric-safe clean.
Trim restoration add-on, $75–$100.
Upgrades
Rough paint? Decontaminate it.
Run the back of your fingers over the hood after a wash. If it feels like fine sandpaper, a wash alone will not fix it: book iron decon and clay bar with the exterior. Neither carries a condition charge; you pay for the add-on, not for the car being dirty.

When a wash isn’t enough
Clean paint still shows swirls.
An exterior detail cleans and brightens. It won’t remove the circular scratches you see in direct sun; that is machine polishing, and it is quoted. Correction with a 12-month sealant starts at $649 on a sedan, and ceramic coating at $399.

What does an exterior detail include?
A hand wash and rinse, wheels and tires, exterior glass and a door jamb wipe-down. Decontamination, trim, headlights and the engine bay are add-ons.
How much is an exterior detail?
$100 for a sedan or coupe, $125 for a midsize SUV and $150 for a large SUV, truck or van.
Do you need my water or an outlet?
No. We bring both, which is how we wash cars on the street and in garages without a spigot.
Will it remove swirl marks?
No. Swirls are scratches in the clear coat and need paint correction. A wash can make them less noticeable for a while, but it can’t take them out.
Do you wash wrapped or PPF-covered cars?
Yes: cleaning, decontamination where it is safe for the film, and protection. We don’t machine-polish wraps or film.
