Questions About Mobile Detailing in the Sunset District

Yes — street parking is how most of our Sunset jobs work. We operate on residential blocks, RPP zones, and metered spots throughout Inner and Outer Sunset. The main thing to be aware of is street cleaning days. If your block has a cleaning window, we can schedule around it, or you can move the car a couple blocks over. A driveway or garage makes things easier but it's never required.
It is, over time. The marine layer that rolls in off the Pacific carries salt and mineral particles that settle on paint, glass, and trim. In the Sunset — especially the Outer Sunset and anywhere near Ocean Beach — cars are exposed to this nightly. The buildup dulls the clear coat and gradually accelerates oxidation, especially on older paint. A regular exterior detail removes those deposits before they bond, and a wax or paint protection layer gives the surface resistance for the next few months of fog exposure.
Yes. Sand is one of the harder things to fully remove because it works its way deep into carpet fibers, along seat seams, and into door pocket edges where a standard vacuum doesn't reach. Our interior detail uses specialized vacuum tools and extraction equipment that pull embedded sand and debris out of fabric and carpet thoroughly. If you're regularly near Ocean Beach, a full interior detail a few times per year is the right cadence to stay ahead of it.
For active dog owners, we generally recommend a full interior detail every two to three months. Dogs that visit the park regularly — especially in the wet season — track in sand, moisture, dander, and embedded hair that builds up fast in fabric seats and carpet fibers. Our pet hair removal service is a faster, lower-cost option between full cleanings if the seats just need a reset without the full interior treatment.
An exterior detail typically takes 45 minutes to an hour. An interior or full detail can take two to four hours depending on the vehicle's condition — a car that's been sitting outside in Outer Sunset fog for a few months will take longer than one that gets cleaned regularly.
