Protection Packages

Gtechniq sealants and ceramic coatings, applied at your place anywhere in San Francisco and the Peninsula. Every package includes the full interior and exterior detail plus the paint decontamination. You pick how much correction the paint gets and how long the protection lasts.

Read This First

Every package on this page already includes a full interior and exterior detail plus our paint decontamination process. The only two things that change the price are how much correction your paint needs and how long the protection lasts.

That is why our numbers look different from a shop quoting a coating on its own. You are not paying for the coating and then paying again for the detail and the prep. It is one price, one visit, and the car goes back to you finished inside and out.

Step Two · Pick Your Correction

How Much Correction

Correction is machine polishing. It is what removes the swirls and scratches that are already in your paint before we protect it. Here is what each level actually does, in plain English.

Gtechniq applicator laying protection straight onto clean, glossy paint — no correction pass

Level 00

No Correction

Included In every tier price

We clean and decontaminate the paint, then protect it exactly as it is. Good fit for a newer car, or paint you are already happy with. Nothing is polished out, so any swirls or scratches that are there now stay there under the protection.

Single-stage machine polishing pass on a painted panel

Level 01

1-Step Correction

+$250 Added to any tier
Sedan / Coupe

One machine polishing pass over the paint. Takes out light swirl marks from washing, water spotting, and light oxidation. It will not remove deeper scratches. Best if the paint looks dull in direct sun but is not visibly scratched up.

Request a Quote ▸
Two-stage correction, compounding pass followed by a refining polish

Level 02

2-Step Correction

+$500 Added to any tier
Sedan / Coupe

A cutting pass to take the defects out, then a refining pass to bring the gloss back. Handles moderate to heavy swirling, lighter scratches, buffer trails, and water spot etching. This is the level most daily-driven cars with visible swirling need.

Three-stage correction, heavy cut then medium refine then final finish

Level 03

3-Step Correction

+$750 Added to any tier
Sedan / Coupe

Cut, refine, then finish. Three stages and three different pads. Our deepest correction, for heavy swirling, deeper scratches, buffer haze, and paint that has been neglected. Suited to exotics, show cars, and older paint you want brought as far back as polishing can take it.

Paint correction is not sold on its own. It always comes paired with at least a 12-month sealant. Polishing paint and then handing it back with nothing on it is not something we recommend, so we do not offer it that way. The figures above are what correction adds to a sedan or coupe on top of whichever tier you pick. Midsize and large vehicles cost more, and the exact number for every combination is in the price sheet below. If you want the full explainer on correction itself, read the paint correction page.

Every price above includes the full interior and exterior detail and the paint decontamination. Paint correction is only sold with a sealant or coating, never on its own. Vehicles that do not fit these three size classes, and paint in unusually rough shape, are quoted individually. Ceramic coating and paint correction are quote-only services, so nothing on this page books online.

Inside the Work

What Correction Actually Involves

A Coating We Installed · Outer Sunset

BMW M3 Competition, Gtechniq EXO v5

A full interior and exterior detail, a one-step machine polish, and a two-year Gtechniq EXO v5 ceramic coating — one visit, at the customer’s place in the Outer Sunset. Twenty-eight frames came off this job. These are the ones that show the work.

Step 03 · The Polish

A random-orbital polisher working the hood, polish still on the panel. One machine pass over the paint — a one-step polish, not a multi-stage correction.

Step 04 · The Coating

The bottle that went on this car. Gtechniq EXO v5 is the two-year ceramic coating on our tier list, applied panel by panel once the polish oils were wiped off.

The Detail Half of the Same Job

Every package on this page includes the full interior and exterior detail. On this car that is what the before and after frames below are: the detail, not the polish.

What these photos do and do not prove. One polishing pass is documented on this car, so we call it a one-step polish and nothing more. We have no frame of this paint under inspection lighting beforehand, so none of these panels is offered as a swirl-removal result — and the curved lines running across the hood in the arrival shots are the overhead utility cables on the street reflecting in the paint, not marring. The two-year figure is Gtechniq’s own rating for EXO v5 and our record of what we installed, not something a photograph can show. Every frame from the job, including the ones that did not make this page, is in the full BMW M3 Competition case study.
